The WNBA's 2023 scoring leader wants to switch teams.
Jewell Loyd has requested to be traded from the Seattle Storm, Annie Costabile of the Chicago Sun Times reported Wednesday.
The Storm were under investigation during the off-season for allegations of harassment and bullying by the team's coaching staff. According to Costabile, Loyd filed a complaint detailing the allegations and noted that Loyd's future within Seattle would depend on relationships being mended.
"The investigation has been completed and there were no findings of policy violations or any discrimination, harassment, or bullying," Seattle shared in a statement detailing the results of the investigation on Wednesday.
Loyd requested a trade after the team's statement was released.
The two-time WNBA champion was drafted first overall by the Storm in 2015 and awarded rookie of the year. In 2024, she averaged 19.7 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.6 assists.
