UConn's Canadian star Aaliyah Edwards is forgoing her fifth year of eligibility and officially declaring for the WNBA Draft, announcing her decision via Instagram on Thursday.
"I'm ready for the next chapter," Edwards said in the video posted to social media.
She'll join big names like Iowa's Caitlin Clark and Stanford's Cameron Brink as some of the big names set to hear their names called in the WNBA Draft on April 15.
The Kingston, Ont. native enjoyed a decorated career with the Huskies, making it to the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament three times and going all the way to the Finals in the 2021-22 season, eventually losing to South Carolina.
She was named to her first AP All-American third team after the 2022-23 season which saw her reach then career-highs in points (16.6), rebounds (9.0), assists (2.4) and blocks (1.1).
She surpassed many of those marks this season, averaging 17.8 points, 9.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game for the 29-5 Huskies.
"Gotta savour every moment because this is my last jam at UConn," Edwards said. "I'm all in, ready to bring that championship glory back to Storrs with my squad by my side.
"Let's have one last dance."
The UConn Huskies qualified for the NCAA Tourney as a three-seed and will take on Jackson State on Saturday, March 23.
