Boston's PWHL franchise has signed star forward Hilary Knight, goaltender Aerin Frankel and defender Megan Keller, the club announced Thursday.
All three players signed three-year deals with the team, through the 2025-26 season.
Superstar Knight, 34, has represented Team USA at four Olympics (one gold, three silver) and 13 World Championships (nine gold, four silver) since 2007.
“As a lifelong fan of Boston sports teams, I recognize the immense responsibility of building a team in this city given the high expectations of our fans, who are arguably the most passionate in all of sports,” said general manager Danielle Marmer in a team statement. “I'm thrilled to inform my fellow Boston fans that we have begun the process of building this team in a way that meets our city's standards. It's both an honour and a privilege to announce that PWHL Boston has successfully signed three of the best women's hockey players in the world."
Frankel, Keller and Knight were all members of the U.S. women's team that won gold at the 2023 IIHF World Women’s Championship.
