Canada's Carol Zhao won her first main-draw match since May at the Korea Open on Monday.
Zhao, from Richmond Hill, Ont., downed world No. 332 Back Dayeon of Korea 6-4, 6-1 in the opening round of the WTA Tour 500 event.
The 272nd-ranked Zhao won two qualifying matches over the weekend to secure her spot in the main draw.
Zhao, 29, next faces No. 4 seed Diana Shnaider of Russia in the round of 16.
