Defending champions Dabrowski, Routliffe bounced in US Open quarterfinals

Canada's Gabriela Dabrowski and New Zealand's Erin Routliffe ended their US Open title defence after dropping five-straight games in the third set of the quarterfinals, losing to Veronika Kudermetova and Hao-ching Chan 4-6, 7-5, 6-3.
