Rob Gronkowski made sure to take full advantage of his WWE debut while earning a classic WrestleMania moment in the process.

Making his debut as the host of WrestleMania 36, the former NFL tight end claimed the WWE 24/7 Championship after defeating Mojo Rawley. Gronkowski leapt off a stage on top of a crowd of wrestlers before pinning Rawley and making a quick exit from the WWE Performance Center.

“I’ve won three major championships in my life and that’s cool and all, but that’s in the past,” Gronkowski said during the show. “I wouldn’t mind winning the 24/7 title before the end of tonight. I’m here at WrestleMania, I want that title.”

The 30-year isn’t the first athlete to win the championship as Boston Celtics centre Enes Kanter and NASCAR driver Kyle Busch had briefly won the title which is on the line at all times, as long as there is a referee to count a pinfall.
