For the first time in nearly a decade, Canada has claimed gold at the women’s world championship.
Facing off against the rival Americans, who’d reeled off five straight golds heading into the 2021 tournament, Canada pushed Team USA right to the end, emerging with an overtime victory off the stick of Captain Canada, Marie-Philip Poulin.
